On Writer’s block

Dear Writer’s block. It’s not you, it’s me.

I have been feeling like a tad bit of a failure since we got together…I hate to say it but we just aren’t good together.

When I’m with you, I am too lazy to do what I know I should be doing.

You convince me that I should lie back when I get home from work…and you can be so damn convincing! You massage my conscience with talk of “Tomorrow is another day”
Well nomore of your Scarlet O’Hara-ish promises.

I cannot wait to see you walk away. I know I will write more and in turn lead a happier, more fulfilling life.

I wish you the best with whoever you end up with. i know it will be a very unproductive relationship!

Your former victim

(This marks the beginning of my Writing Prompts Boot Camp. Its something that Writer’s Digest put together. The whole idea is to write everyday and because its not always easy to come up with topics, you have a prompt a day that you have to write on. Wish me luck!)
